With the "Dancing with the Stars" Season 12 premiere just a few weeks away, the new crop of contestants have already put on their dancing shoes.

Kendra Wilkinson, Kirstie Alley, Ralph Macchio and the other eight competitors got dolled up to pose with their partners for new promotional photos.

Randall Christensen, the show's longtime costume designer, clothed the female dancers in the usual mix of dresses with glitter, lace and fringe. Model Petra Nemcova and Disney star Chelsea Kane stand out from the pack in nearly identical bright pink ensembles.


 Nearly all the men, including wrestler Chris Jericho and two-time pro champion Mark Ballas, stuck with the traditional shirt-pants combo in black and white.

The group will officially shimmy and sashay their way into the ballroom on March 21, with some – like Alley – hoping to lose a few pounds in the process.

 Wilkinson and partner Louis van Amstel are favored to win at 3-to-1 odds.

But for those more interested in fashion than the foxtrot, it was recently announced that dresses inspired by the show can be purchased from La Femme.
